This book is a first effort to cover the lack of the Greek bibliography about the activity of Merges and Buyouts (M&B) in the Greek market. It covers the basic concepts of Merges and Buyouts and it examines the various scientific theories that try to explain them, in parallel with a preview of the findings of the international empirical academic research about their financial effectiveness.

 A special emphasis is given to the evaluation techniques composed by the financial theory and the international corporation practices. In parallel, the book considers several subjects, as the strategies of buyout and defense of the companies that are taking part in the merge or buyout, the payment methods and the phenomenon of loosing profits of the stocks, in case the stocks are exchanged. Additionally, several subjects of audit (IFRS 3) and the Greek legal frame are examined.

 The book targets both students of financial institutions and managers that desire to have a wider knowledge about Merges and Buyouts.
